The laptops provide an instant hands-on experience that makes English Language Arts (ELA) fun. In the one-to-one computing environment, the students are better able to discover their area of expertise, and they can't wait to share it with their classmates. Recently, the students were totally immersed in a Webquest that reinforced their understanding of simple machines. The laptops have exposed them to so much more than the standard book and pencil method of teaching, and as we all know, the more exposure students have, the more learning is sure to increase.
